Latin Club
Wellington's very own Latin Club is back! with a jazzy twist!
Latin Club explores music in a Pan-Latin sense: across the countries in Latin America and the Caribbean, Latin Europe (Portugal, Spain, France and Italy) and African countries influenced by Latin culture, such as Cabo Verde and Mozambique. Dozens of countries were influenced by Latin culture. They speak Neo-Latin anguages - each having specific cultural mixes and traditions. They are spread all over the world. The Latin music of each place may then be uniquely influenced by Indigenous, African, Arabic, Caucasian and other cultures. Latin Club brings Latin culture to audiences and musicians; by promoting collaborations among musicians from diverse backgrounds (traditional and authentic) and music influences (new fusions and mixtures) to generate new ways of performing in New Zealand.
