A chance to escape the hustle and bustle of the city - just sit back on the funky chairs, sip on some top notch beer (or wine!) and let yourself drift away to some seriously good music fronted by by sax players Jasmine Lovell-Smith (Noveltones) and Louisa Williamson.

The music of Jasmine Lovell-Smith has been described as an “intriguing intersection of avant-garde art music and chamber jazz” (New Zealand Musician) and includes some reimagined favourites from the jazz and classical canons. Sure to be a varied performance, come along and enjoy as the Noveltones weave their way through a scintillating set of ‘comprovisations’.

Fresh out from completing her jazz degree at NZSM, Louisa is looking forward to performing her own unique tunes for quintet. This year Louisa is going to complete a Masters in Jazz Composition, honing her skills of writing music for small and large ensembles. Louisa has represented New Zealand internationally in the JM Jazz World Orchestra in 2016, worked with several American, European and Australian jazz musicians, and performs regularly around Wellington and often around the country.
